MINK partners with Ellis Faas at this year’s Africa Fashion Week London event – 28th July 2011
The MINK brand is synonymous with high quality make-up services for women of colour. As the UKs leading makeup authority for women of colour is comes as no surprise that the company were recently chosen to provide the backstage make-up services for the upcoming Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) Event.
The company’s leading position in the market has led to some very valuable partnerships with leading international cosmetics brands such as IMAN Cosmetics and Illamasqua. MINK is now proud to announce an equally worthwhile partnership with Ellis Faas.
ELLIS FAAS is an award-winning brand of make-up products created by Dutch-born make-up artist to the stars Ellis Faas, who Vogue Paris called “one of the most influential make-up artists of her generation”.
ELLIS FAAS is a modern brand, revolutionary in its concept, colours, design and packaging – and above all in its usage. The brand started off with 27 lipsticks, but the collection has expanded to include a full line of foundations, concealers, blush, eye shadows, mascara and much more. It is also available worldwide from the ELLIS FAAS web shop, and in more than fifty shops in a growing number of countries.
Ellis Faas will be providing the makeup that MINK make-up artists will be using on the models backstage at AFWL. Funmi Odegbami, Creative Director at MINK, had this to say about the collaboration, “I am a huge fan of the Ellis Faas make-up range. The packaging is very unique and even more importantly the quality of the products are of the highest standard. I can’t wait for the make-up team to try their hand at the make-up wands and I am sure that by the end of this exercise Ellis Faas would have won themselves some new fans. Asked about how the makeup team were preparing for the show, Funmi responded, “With less than a week to go until the event it is really crazy in the office right now. The team are coordinating supplies of make-up products for the backstage and front of house make-up teams. We are looking forward to meeting members of the public on the MINK stand where we will be giving free make-up touch-ups, demonstrations and advice.”
