NRA staff in for embezzlement
Police source has told this press that two senior officers of the National Revenue Authority (NRA) will soon be arraigned before the court for embezzlement and other related offences.
Joseph Maada Soyie, who happened to be the brother of one of Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) aspirants and Mohamed John Moveria, have had their names on list of persons accused of embezzling money to the tune of Le200 million or more.
It is revealed that Joseph and Mohamed have conspiratorially embezzled and falsely obtained money amounting to Le200 million plus.
It could be recalled that the incident took place on diverse dates between January and December 2010.
CID HQ source informed this press that the police have concluded their investigations and have forwarded the case and inquiry file to the law officers department for legal advised.
It is further revealed that the matter will soon be forwarded to the court for judicial findings.
Credible information reaching the desks of Sierra Express Media say the actual amount embezzled is above Le 250 million.
