Looming court action befalls APC

The gossip chat say cabalists of the ruling ‘All People Congress’ party (APC) may possibly take President Koroma to court for violating portions of the party’s constitution.  (Photo: Hon. Chukuma Johnson, Deputy Speaker of Parliament)

Be it known that the APC, as at periods 2007- 2011, has had a make-up of unwholesome cabals divided into camps namely: ‘Siaka Stevens’ and ‘President Koroma’ respectively.

As at Sylvia Blyden’s publication of story defining “What’s the colour of the APC leader’s underwear,” attributing same as “Koromaism discussion of the colour of male politicians’ underwear in assumed visit to discuss party politics,” issues of divisions in the APC seemed to overcome the minds of very senior members of the party.

It is recalled though that in April 2009, the APC held its convention in Makeni, north of Sierra Leone, where it elected President Koroma as Chairman and Leader of the party.

At the Makeni convention, it was agreed that the life of the office of the Chairman of APC be extended to three years.

To some, it was greeted with joy, but to others, it was a complete manipulation of their party’s abiding.

On the face of the above, it is, but glaring obvious that disgruntled party officials seemed wary over President Koroma’s divide and rule doctrine and have vowed to go into a legal power struggle with him.

Facts have it that separatists of the APC, so to say, the late Siaka Stevens’ brought ups, have had their sleeves up and ready to slam a law suit against President Koroma should he go on violating the clause in the constitution of the APC party.

Contemplations of party loyalists also point out strategies of the APC leadership; reproachfully accusing him of intentfully appointing late Siaka Stevens’ breeds as Ambassadors in countries abroad, to drive them off the seat of leadership.

It is a believable fact that officials of the new APC have no intention dealing with breeds of late Siaka Stevens at all.

In an interview with the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Chukuma Johnson, he told this press that executive positions in the APC are legally up to date.

He did not tell whether the APC has any arrangement to hold its convention in April 2011.
