U-17 Bayisenga waves off home pressure

Emery has said he does not expect home pressure to work against them this Saturday in the Caf U-17 Nations Cup.

The Junior Wasps captain play down any suggestions that the youngsters would be under huge pressure to impress the home crowd.

“There is no pressure at all in the dressing room. We are enjoying ourselves and looking forward to Saturday’s game,” Bayisenga said.

On the other hand, Group B pits defending champions Gambia against Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast and Mali.

Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso are already in the country while Gambia and Congo Brazzaville are expected to arrive this afternoon.

With the top two in each group guaranteed a spot at next year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico, Tardy is desperate to rewrite history by becoming the first coach to guide a Rwandan side to the World Cup.

Group A: – Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Senegal
Group B: – Gambia, Mali, Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast
