World Bank grant to Sierra Leone
Ambassador Ibrahim S. Conteh, Charge d’Affaires, a.i., of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Washington on Friday 12/10/10, signed on behalf of the Sierra Leone Government, an agreement with the World Bank for a grant of SDR6,400,000.00 geared towards poverty reduction.
Ambassador Conteh, after the signing ceremony, thanked the World Bank for its continued support for Sierra Leone, adding that any signing ceremony for financial support to Sierra Leone is always positively viewed as the Bank’s unwavering and sustained confidence and support for the policies of President Ernest Bai Koroma’s Government as it continues to move forward in its implementation of these policies to bring about a positive turn-around in the overall development of the country.
Signing on behalf of the World Bank was Madam Glaucia Ferreira.
The ceremony, which took place in the Embassy’s conference room, was witnessed by Messrs. Sheku Mesali, Counsellor and Head of Chancery, and Saspo I. Sankoh, First Secretary, respectfully.
