Open letter to President Koroma

According to our latest finding it shows that you have delivered on most of your promises made to the people of Sierra Leone.  We have seen constant electricity supply and presently there are ongoing infrastructural developments in areas like roads and agricultural facilities, and good policies have been put in place to bring the much needed transformations congratulation Mr President! There are a few issues we will love to draw your attention to; most of this development can be achieved once the political will is there.

Mr. President I think it time for Sierra Leoneans to start participation in the development process of their country, most of us living in the Diaspora  and those living in the country have a dream, especially the youth,   Mr. President our dream is to see the most needed development taking place at the shore of Sierra Leone.

Some of this business is franchised that can be attracted by government once the political will is there.

Please don’t wake me up!

Our dream is to see our country get some of the highest tourist infrastructures being put in place, for example sun city in South Africa to be constructed at Aberdeen – that will attract over 500,000 tourists a year

Our dream is to see government construct toll systems in all the roads that are being constructed that will enable government to collect the much needed revenues.

Our dream is to see a government facilitated meter system by every parking lot that will enable government to collect revenue.

Our dream is to see government construct some of the giant shopping complexes in every part of the city and the country as a whole, example East Gate shopping complex in South Africa.

Our dream is to see government attract businesses like Game in south Africa that are already in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

Our dream is to see government attract business like Spar and Shoprite to be constructed in every corner of Sierra Leone

Our dream is to see government bring in a car assembly plant at the shore of Sierra Leone and create loan systems that will enable every Sierra Leonean to have access to a car loan.

Our dream is for government to boost Nassit to construct more modern houses and apartments that will enable Sierra Leoneans to get access to mortgages

Our dream is to see government attract factories that will produce groceries in Sierra Leone that are labeled proudly made in Sierra Leone.

Our dream is for government to empower livestock farmers to produce meat that will be exported to other parts of the world in the case of Botswana.

Our dream is to see Sierra Leone own flights that will fly to every major destination in the world.

Our dream is for government to start negotiations with some of these mining companies to start processing most of these minerals locally that will add value to our minerals  and create more jobs.

Our dream is to see government attract franchises like MCDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).

Our dream is to see government help universities like Fourah Bay College and construct more universities that will match international standards.

Our dream is to see your government help amputees and homeless children out of the street and give them an education and skill that will enable them to participate in development processes.

Our dream is to see government implement free education to all Sierra Leoneans.

Our dream is to hear you say poverty has gone away.

Our dream is hear you say no more corruption in high places.

Our dream is to hear you say HIV and AIDs is under control.

Our dream is to hear you say 95% of the youths are employed.

Our dream is to hear that Sierra Leone has the best human rights record.

Our dream is to hear that Sierra Leone is the best place to practice journalism.

Our dream is to hear that Sierra Leone is one of the highest exporters of rice and other agricultural products.

Most of this business that I have outlined is not government owned business but government can encourage and create the necessary environment for investors, such investments will only come in a stable democratic environment with zero tolerance in fighting corruption and with good governance and a stronger economy.
