CDHR Director meets his Waterloo… Free Health Drugs to Appear in Court

The Makeni police will soon charge to court the matter involving the arrest of a Fullah businessman along Rogbaneh Road in Makeni with drugs identified as free health drugs.

The case file, according to our source in Makeni, is said to be before the State Counsel for advice which by all indications will be the first case to be charged to the Makeni high court involving the pilfering of the free health care drugs.

It could be recalled that the matter drew attention when the Director, Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDHR) Gibrill Massie Bah, allegedly attempted to protect his Fullah brother from arrest including three workers of the Health For All Coalition.

Sources had it that Gibrill Massie Bah reported to the police that the three were arrested for impersonation and extortion of money from pharmacy owners in Makeni and Kabala but not with drugs identified to be free health care drugs.

The three volunteers were detained for two days before the Director, Health for All Coalition, Charles Mambu could guaranty their bail on the suspects on the grounds the three suspects were impersonators but rather doing their job.

The police released them as they had no evidence of extortion against them although Massie Bah promised to come with evidence from Kabala.

The evidence manufactured from Kabala did not convince the police, hence the matter being charged to court.
