I scored a goal in the FIFA World Cup Final
Pelé, Brazil 1958 – The man widely considered the greatest footballer in history came to international prominence as a 17-year-old at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, scoring five goals during the tournament, including two strikes in a 5-2 win over the host nation in the final. Pele missed most of his country’s World Cup-winning campaign in 1962 because of injury, then returned to lead Brazil to its third World Cup title in 1970. He scored the opening goal in the 1970 final — a 4-1 win over Italy — to give Brazil its third trophy.
