Excel Principal in Police custody
Principal of Excel International for Girls Mr. Alicious Brima located at Tower Hill is presently in police custody helping the police with investigations in a complaint made against him and the Bursar one Aunty Frances by six pupils that claimed to have paid their BECE fees to the Bursar amounting to the sum of Le 380,000 each but that they were unable to take their exam as no proper arrangement was made for them by the principal and the Bursar.Â
According to CID Source, the pupils were supposed to been linked with the Pedmal International Academy for them to take their exam but it was a surprise for the pupils to have gotten the examination and were driven out by the supervisor as their names did not collate with the register and were not with regular Identity card.
Immediately after the incident, the students together with their parents in their uniforms with tears reported the matter to the Central Police CID Branch which led to the detention of the principal and the Bursar.Â
Popular opinion is that this are some of the issues the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport should look into as some of these fake schools are posing a lot of problems for students and parents who seem vulnerable to their ploys.
