After double Sponsorship, Retired National Football Heroes shows gratitude to Africell
Executive members of the Retired National Football Heroes Foundation on Wednesday, June 23 paid a visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Africell, Mr. Robert El-Khoury at his 1 Pivot Street Office at Wilberforce village in the West of Freetown to thank him for his company’s support to them.
Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, the Chairman, Mr. Umaru Din Sesay, said they were very grateful to the company for its financial support to them in 2009 when they were invited to compete in the President Yayah Jammeh Zone 11 Veteran Footballers tournament in Banjul, Gambia and recently in the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma Zone11 Veteran Footballers competition which they won.
He further stated that they were very grateful to Africell for always coming to their aid in their moments of need and for bringing the people of this country together through their communications network, which he described as the best and most affordable.
On behalf of the Foundation he presented a T-shirt with the logo of Africell at the back and the photo of President Ernest Bai Koroma to Mr. El Khory.
In his remarks, Mr. Robert El-Khoury thanked the Retired Football Heroes for recognizing the positive things Africell is doing for the people of this country and assured them that they will continue to support them at all times.
Other dignitaries who were present at the meeting were Africell’s Administrative Director, Mr. Abdul Aziz Gabisi, Chairman, Parliamentary Sports Committee, Hon. Nuru Deen Yilla Sankoh, the Foundation’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Brima Mazola Kamara, Secretary General-Ekoh Nelson, and Treasurer, Mr. Morlai Conteh.
