Scores of People Killed in Stadium Stampede
12 May 2018, Freetown, Sierra Leone – The scene at the National Stadium is one of horror and agony. Scores of people have been crushed to death in a stampede.
The restrictions imposed by the police resulted in anxiety which piled pressure on the security forces as more and more people wanted to get into the stadium to witness the inauguration ceremony of president Julius Maada Bio.
The exact number of casualties remain unknown at the moment.
Sierra Leone is once again in tears.
