As Police Testify – Vamboi’s Son in Murder Saga

Detective Police Constable Jeminatu Finney yesterday, the 1st of November, 2017 testified before Magistrate Albert Moody of Court No.1 at Siaka Stevens Street Freetown in a case of an alleged murder involving one accused person, Ernest Brewah Jr., the son of one of Sierra Leoneans most popular comedians, Vamboi of the Wan pot fame who allegedly murdered Ibrahim Tarawallie on the 6th September 2017, at Valley Ville, Henry Ferguson Lane Freetown.

The accused is facing one count of murder contrary to law.

D.P.C Jeminatu Finney attached at the Criminal Investigations Department, Central Police Station told the court that she recognized the accused on the 6th September 2017; she was on duty when a case of alleged murder was reported by one Alpha Jalloh, and the matter was handed over to her for investigation.

DPC continued that upon this report, a team of Police officers were invited to the Connaught Hospital Mortuary; at the mortuary she discovered that there were injuries on the victim’s chest and his neck jaw. A team of Police officers were later accompanied by the complainant to the scene of crime at Valley Ville Henry Ferguson Lane, at the scene, they discovered blood stain on the ground and photographs were taken by DPC 14855 Bangura F.S.

In conclusion DPC Finney told the Court that on the 6th September 2017, DPC 14855 Bangura F.S arrested and brought in the accused and on the same date he was interviewed. He said on the 8th September, 2017, an Autopsy examination was conducted at the Connaught Hospital Mortuary by the Government Pathologist, Doctor Simeon Owizz Koroma and it was witnessed by a team of Police officers together with the complainant and the death certificate was issued to the Police officers. DPC Finney said on the 19th September 2017, she and Detective Police Sergeant 7331 charged the accused with the offences of murder.

The accused was represented by Lawyer I.P Mammie and M. Karimu whilst Inspector Umu Hawa Bah is prosecuting the matter. The matter was adjourned to the 7th November 2017 for continuation.
