Hired Thugs Attack Finance Officer
Apparently hired thugs are reported to have attacked and vandalized the residence of the Finance Officer of the Government Printing Department, Mohamed Sheriff.
According to reports, the thugs smashed the windows of Mr. Sheriff’s residence at Willoughby Lane in Freetown and destroyed property worth millions of Leones.
This press has reliably gathered that the attack is not unconnected to a long standing land dispute between Mr. Sheriff and one Abu Dumbuya.
Our Investigation reveals that Abu Dumbuya erected a carpentry workshop on a piece of land bordering the dwelling of Mr. Sheriff, doing with the permission of Mr. Sheriff who is occupying a government quarter. But our findings are that Abu Dumbuya now wants to claim the piece of land, a situation that has triggered a heated land conflict between himself and Mr. Sheriff.
Desperate efforts to contact Mr. Dumbuya to give his own side of the story proved futile.
