APC has done it again in Kenema

As the politic of Sierra Leone is now becoming much more interesting as all signs are pointing to a November crushing defeat for the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), which has already lost via defection of some of its major stake holders to the ruling All People’s congress (APC).The ruling All People’s congress (APC)has on Tuesday 23th October 2012 launches its first campaign in the city of Kenema which drew more than 5,000 people, painting the city with red at all corners and it was a shock to the supporters of the opposition SLPP.

In his statement the minister of state east William Juana Smith said there is no more stronghold for the SLPP and that come November 17th president Koroma will go back to state house, adding that the APC is a peaceful party and will always remain to be peaceful, noting that the people of Kenema have really shown their love for the APC by coming out in their numbers for the campaign.

The mayoral candidate for the APC Kenema city, Ismail Sesay, said that Kenema city is no more a top-up ground for the APC but rather it has really changed for the better and that this time around the APC will get more than six seats in Kenema district.

Sesay reiterated that Kenema is no more a stronghold of the SLPP but rather a stress-hold for the SLPP.

The minister of information and communication Alhaji Ibrahim Ben Kargbo said that what the APC party is doing is within the law and president Koroma was legally elected in 2007 and will be legally elected come November 17. He admonished the people that if president Koroma should come back to state house with run off then people need to put in more effort and that come October 31st president Koroma will officially come with his running mate to Kenema.

In his key note address the Vice President of the republic of Sierra Leone Alhaji Samuel Sumana said the people of Kenema have really shown love for the APC and that they have shown that they want to vote in president Koroma, adding that when Maada Bio visited Kenema the SLPP were saying that he is a tormentor but has now turned to be mentholator.

He reiterated that when APC took up power they brought what they called the agenda for change which covered electricity, roads, free health, and infrastructure, and that when they win they will do more developmental things for the people Sierra Leone. He called on the people to maintain a non-violent campaign and to always remain non-violent.
