Shameful Hon. Francis Kowa Seeks Chericoco’s Protection
The dream of constituents in Constituency 107 has fell on the rock as Honorable Francis Emmanuel Kowa who has been described by unhappy electorates as a failed representative is now spotted working along with Dr. Samura’s Running Mate, Honorable Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah to help him secure Parliamentary symbol for second term in office.
When he was campaigning to replace late Hon. Oshore Williams in a bye election, Hon. Francis Kowa blatantly promised to turn the whole constituency in to paradise but amazingly, throughout the wasted years he served the community, the non performing representative cannot boast of implementing a single project.
Because, the All Peoples Congress (APC) party is loved by majority of citizens, Kowa is perambulating all over the place hiding behind outstanding politicians Chericoco to lobby for him so that party decision makers will grant him symbol for the second time even though he has proven himself wrong among his subjects by not fulfilling his numerous promises.
He is now like an errand boy to Chericoco as recently, he accompanied the hopeful Vice President at the official launching of the Kandad Women and Youth Organization at Berwick Street in Constituency 126 where he was not given chance to utter a single word as many were not happy to see him walking with the APC Running Mate because they wanted the fatherly party to replace him with another competent politician who may be able to take part in important Parliamentary debate so that he will be in position to lobby and attract development in society.
It could be recalled that in the said Bye-election, electorates voted overwhelming for Kowa against the erudite Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) candidate, Alhaji Mustapha Kamara with motive that as a young man, Hon. Francis Kowa could have done more than the old late man but he became the worst legislator ever in that jurisdiction as he could not boast of any concrete legacy.
The most disheartening part of this episode is that, when he was making his victory speech at the Ark Community Centre on Robert Street, Hon. Kowa said his first priority is to transform the Samba Gutter to prevent flooding but in the end nothing actualized.
Many are saying, Francis Kowa was lucky to have served as a representative for the richest constituency in the western area with public offices and many business houses.
In that regard, constituents are therefore calling on the Chairman and Leader, President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, Deputy Chairman and Leader, Minkailu Mansaray and the Secretary General Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh to give symbol to people who are very personate about the development other people.
