Indian Merchant Robbed Le30m

Mountain Division Crime Officer, ASP Kalokoh, has confirmed to this press that his Division is currently investigating an incident of shop breaking and larceny. According to the ASP Kalokoh, an Indian national called Peter Jetwani, dealer in building materials at IMAAT, Hill Station in Freetown on Friday, 15th August 2015, reported that his shop was broken into and the sum of thirty million Leones carted away, a theft for which he is highly suspecting the shop attendants.

He furthered that during the course of investigation, one of the shop attendants admitted that they took the money and led the Police behind an unfinished building use as temporal toilet where they hid they hid the money which was no longer found there.

ASP Kalokoh continued that the orange bag that contained the said amount had been taken by two girls on their way to the community toilet and handed over to their uncle, Alimamy Dumbuya. He continued that the wife of one of the suspects saw the girls with the orange money bag.

Investigation revealed that Alimamy Dumbuya took the money bag to his sister at an area called Eacon, back of American Embassy.

The two girls upon interrogation admitted that they found the orange bag and that it was with their uncle, Alimamy Dumbuya who denied the allegation but was prevailed by the girls to handover the money to the Police.

Mabinty who was identified by the Police as Alimamy’s wife came with the bag from her sisters in law’s house at Eacon only to discover thirteen million (Le13, 000,000.) Leones missing.

ASP Kalokoh noted that the matter is being investigated by Detective Police Constable Brewa and supervised by the Acting Junior Police Officer Crime Mountain Division, Sergeant Kanu.
