Dumbuya confirms Notts County exit
Mustapha Dumbuya has confirmed that he will leave Notts County Football Club after completing two seasons in order to launch a new chapter in his career. Dumbuya 27 contract ends this summer, he signed a two-year deal with Notts County on 2 July 2013.
The Magpies were relegated into League Two, after a 3-1 demolition at Gillingham on the final day of the season.
“I’m going to carry on playing and although I can’t confirm at this stage where that will be, but I want to wish the club all the best and pray one day they will be back claiming the league again.”He told footballsierraleone.net.
“I can say it was very sad to see Notts County Relegated, and hard to believe but that its football, sadly I will not continue with Notts County due to Situations.
“It’s being ups and downs this season and just can’t believe the situation we found ourselves in.”
Dumbuya, 27, was born in Sierra Leone; the right-back moved to England at a young age.
The Sierra Leone international exploded onto the scene to joined Doncaster Rovers in 2009 after a spell in non-league football.
He later had a loan spell with Crystal Palace before moving to Portsmouth and a brief stint at Crawly Town.
Dumbuya has marked more than 140 career appearances in the English football ever since he started his career with Potters Bar Town.
