SLFA Prexy New Year’s Message “ SO DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER”

The Sierra Leone Football Association under its current executive and my leadership faced challenges and antagonism in a manner which true national loyalists and genuine football stakeholders could never have imagined.

Possibly counter-intuitively, my overriding sense for this New Year is one of GRATITUDE.

I am extremely GRATEFUL that I have the most important things one could ever wish for in life and it is those that I wish for you.

I wish you good HEALTH, which will allow you the LUXURY to worry about lesser things.

I wish you SHELTER and the means to SUSTAIN yourself and anyone who depends on you.

I wish you the STRENGTH to cope with the challenges that this wonderful and beautiful game of FOOTBALL and LIFE will undoubtedly present you. And if you get knocked down, always be ready to dust yourself and get back up again.

I wish you the WISDOM to put yourself in places, and surround yourself with people that NOURISH and REPLENISH you, not the ones who lead you down a path of self and national destruction.

I wish you the ABILITY to appreciate the joyous pride and the good times football brought to our nation. Remember the good times in your life and be glad that you are alive today despite the evil plague that has invaded our space.

Finally I wish that this time next year, you “DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER,” but that my wishes for you have come true.
