SLPMC Donates 300 Bags of Rice for Ebola Victims
Freetown, Sept. 10, 014 (MOHS) – The Sierra Leone Produce Marketing Company (SLPMC) has made a donation of 300 bags of 25kg Nerica rice to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as a contribution towards the fight against the Ebola virus. Presenting the gifts, the Director of Operations, Ahmid Kabba said the gesture was to demonstrate their commitment in the fight to combat the disease. He described the fight against the Ebola as a national call his company is obliged to compliment.
Address her guest, the Deputy Minister II, Madam Madina Rahman thanked the SLPMC for the donation describing it as timely.
The Deputy Minister reiterated government’s commitment to the fight against the Ebola disease in the country, and lauded the efforts of the Management and staff of the company for responding to the clarion call of the President.
The outbreak she noted, has affected the country’s socio-economic programmes, and its human resource capacity including farmers.
