Landmark Director speaks on Local Content Policy
The Director of Landmark Logistics Company, Mr. Gibril S. Turay, in a press conference on Friday, October 25 this year held at his office highlighted the issue of the Local Content Policy, stressing that it is a concern to all indigenes to be part of the recently launched Agenda for Prosperity .
Mr. Turay said he will at all times continue to translate the Local Content Policy, noting that Sierra Leone has achieved strong micro-economic gains through the robust growth of high iron ore production plus falling inflation, a stable exchange rate and lower food prices.
He also noted that the medium term outlook is favorable with policy focused on achieving strong broad based growth.
Mr. Turay expressed confidence in President Ernest Bai Koroma who he said has an outstanding record in making Sierra Leone a country to reckon with.
He called on the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara to help ensure that the Local Content Policy reaches the indigenes who have established business concerns.
He stated that it was about time for Sierra Leoneans to be boastful about their own businesses.
He observed that the Labour Ministry should strategize on the Local Content Policy as it is also a key player in this policy.
