Sierra Leone Sports Minister Paul Kamara should resign!

It is no longer a secret that Sierra Leone football is dying slowing. It is also becoming clear that the man behind this sad state of affairs the Minister of  Sports,  Hon. Paul Kamara (in photo).

When Hon. Paul Kamara was appointed as Minister of Sports, every sports stakeholder, fan and sympathizer was delighted, thinking that because of his involvement in sports for a very long time he was going to take the discipline to higher heights.

But when everybody was waiting for the Minster to unite the divided family, instead he brought in politics, racism, disrespect and contempt for mostly Journalists, and other key stakeholders.

Up till now the election of the Sierra Leone Football Association has not been held because of his interference, and exposing his racist tendencies by referring to one of the candidates as a white Sierra Leonean.

It is also a pity that because of his interference up till now the Premier League has not commenced.

The recent resignation of the Swedish Coach, Lars Olof Mattsson, was also because of this man’s interference into his work.

Perhaps satisfied to have seen the back of poor Mattsson he has now single-handedly, without consulting the Technical Director of the FA, Mr. Sam Obi Metzger, appointed another Coach, an appointment that has brought a lot of controversy to the FA.

Under his watch the Leone Stars has continuously performed abysmally.

Perhaps he should now wake up to reality that he has woefully failed President Ernest Bai Koroma and respectfully resign his position.
