SLPP accuse JOB of misappropriating $60,000!
All hell broke loose today when Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) PRO Tamba Sam and the Secretary General tried to balance the party books and came up $60,000 short; pointing the finger at John Oponjo Benjamin (JOB), the party Chairman! (Photo: John Oponjo Benjamin, SLPP Chairman)
Promising to do a thorough investigation, the PRO stated anyone found to be involved in any dirty games will be immediately alleviated of his or her duties.
JOB debunked the accusation thrown at him pointing out that the bank account requires more than one signature for the withdrawal of party funds …
It appears the SLPP is falling apart at the seams with a lot of infighting between party Chairman JOB and ex flagbearer Julius Maada Bio on who should lead the party. It is argued Bio has no place in the party after losing the election as party flagbearer, whilst JOB is still party Chairman. At this point, both are claiming they are SLPP party leader!
SEM will be following this scandal with a close eye …
