The chairman of the occasion, Hon. Chernor Bah (aka Chericoco) in his opening statement noted that APC has a style that no other party can contest and that in politics his party does not chop off hands, feet, or kill anybody. He furthered that now is the time to talk while the APC leads and others follow. He added that the people should come together and vote ‘Bode,’ as Gibson is fondly called, for development as he is ready to change Freetown city.

Dennis Williams a supporter of Bode pointed that, APC is a mixer party ready and always willing to come to the aid of everyone. He encouraged all APC supporters to come out for their candidates and vote for all in a row.

Ojukutu Macauley said despite he was denied of the same APC symbol, he has made a promise to the people that if he does not succeed he will be with the winner strongly to promote the party, adding that in any race there must be a winner.

The Acting Mayor, Alhaji Councilor Gibril Kanu said APC is one family, and appealed to each and every supporter to vote on that day for their 4 aspirants for the different positions, for the president to have majority in his decision making. He also noted that people must put all grievances away for the sake of the party and make positive moves for a second term of government.

Rev Roland Bankole Gibson noted that power comes from God according to Romans 13:1, adding that supporters should be fervent in prayer for Bode to win as the mayor of this city. “A leader faces a lot of challenges and only prayers can help”, the mayoral aspirant implored.

Sam Franklyn Bode Gibson confessed that the primaries were tough but all his colleagues contestants agreed for him to have the symbol, adding that, ‘it shows how united the APC is’.

He assured that if he becomes the mayor he will show the beauty of Freetown if only the people are ready to work with him. He called on all to support the president’s agenda for change.
