Airtel celebrates end of year with REC School in Tombo

Airtel, the award winning Telecommunications Company for 2010, maintains it will continue to uphold to the dictates of its corporate social responsibilities. 

The adoption of the REC Tombo Community School by Airtel is very much appreciated by the community and the parents of students attending the school. 

The adoption project is purposely set up to reach out to the underprivileged and vulnerable children of society, and the facelift project which was put in place earlier this year portrays Airtel’s supports for the school.

Airtel will celebrate the REC Tombo end of year school party next month, on the 15th July.  The ceremony is expected to take place at the school’s grounds or at the community centre should the weather not be cooperative. 
Airtel’s main objectives for the upcoming celebration give details of:

1. To entertain the pupils of the school as they will be having a break. 

2. To let the pupils feel they belong 

3. To encourage the pupils to do more in school. 

The Airtel family has set aside various activities for that day including:

• Musical System 
• Dancing Competition 
• Games 

Airtel is here for all.
