About the author: Emmanuel Bryma Momoh has worked with the United Nations Mission in Liberia as Human Rights Officer for the past three years. In 2009, his humanitarian gestures in organizing a blood donation drive in Grand Gedeh County earned him Special Recommendation from the former United Nations Programme Manager, Olufemi Majekodunmi Olugbemi, which also echoes the feeling of the Special Representative of the Secretary General, Ms. Ellen Margrethe Loj.
Back in Sierra Leone, Mr. Momoh worked for the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Sierra Lone for six years, before taking up the international appointment with the UN Mission in Liberia. In 2003, the Sierra Leone Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) adjudged his Poem contribution “Salone Pikin” to the National Vision For Sierra Leone in the Poem, Songs and Slogans categories. His creative input has become part of the National and Cultural Heritage that serve the cause for Peace and Unity in Sierra Leone.
