Africell lavishes subscribers
Africell this past Saturday showered unaccustomed blessings on its subscribers as the occasion saw the handing over of the dream prizes of a H3 Hummer Jeep and an Infinity Jeep in the coveted 18 weeks long ‘4 Him and 4 Her’ customer promotion that started on the 16th June and ended on October 18 this year.
Laud Okyere, a Pharmacist of Nest Pharmacy at Walpole Street and residing at Lumley with GSM number 077 175 884 took home the ‘4 Him’ H3 Hummer Jeep whilst fortune saw Elizabeth Hawa Bangura with GSM number 077 881-1233, a teacher and of Bathurst Street, took home a brand new Infinity Jeep as prize in the ‘4 Her’ promotion.
Throughout the period of the daily electronic draw that lasted for 18 weeks; subscribers who won the daily prizes automatically qualified for the final draw which was streamlined until two final winners emerged to covet the Hummer H3 and Infinity Jeep.
For eighteen good weeks subscribers made away with 18 freezers, 36 2.7 KVA generators, eighteen 29 inch flat screen televisions, and almost one thousand five hundred 1202 Nokia phones; 18 quality two-SIM E66 Nokia phones were also offered to all those that took part in the weekly draw as Guests of honour.
The draw reached its semi-final stage with six contestants and three men for the H3 Hummer and 3 women ended up in the final draw that saw two winners emerging.
Mrs. Juliet Jusu a nurse with GSM number 088-922-125 of the Wilberforce Health Centre and of Water street who took home the runner up prize of Le10 million, Mrs Esther Yanker with the GSM number 077 647 898 a trader and of Banana Water junction also took home the consolation prize of Le5 million and Mrs. in the ‘4 Her’ draw. Elizabeth Hawa Bangura won the grand prize.
In the male category for the H3 Hummer Jeep the finalists were Joseph Komba with GSM number 077 568 819 a loan officer at Finance Salone-Wellington Branch resident at Jui, took home Le10, 000,000 as first runner up, followed by Ikechukwu Izunna with the GSM number 088 756 143 a business man at Regent Street and of Rawdon Street winning the second runners up prize of Le5, 000,000 and Laud Okeyere the grand prize winner.
Bernard Sesay, Africell’s Chief Commercial Officer told the audience at the Family Kingdom Resort in Freetown that this is not the end of this year’s promotion as there are more in store, stating “one thing is sure, the next promotion is bound to be mouth watering,” Sesay said.
The programe was climaxed by performances from various local artistes including Africell’s superstars Mohamed Lamin Kargbo and Luci Peeler.
