In an exclusive interview with Sierra Express Media, Madam Juliet Gborie, a coordinator of the organization said the main objective of the tour is to sensitize pupils in schools to pay much attention to education “as education is better than silver and gold.”

Ms. Gborie went on further to state that their activities include encouraging peace and harmony among Sierra Leoneans. We undertake our sensitization work through games, music competition and drama,” she said and encouraged children to be more proactive in their learning activities as education is the only way that people can be able to create self encouragement.

Schools already visited include the Dr. S.M. Broderick Municipal Primary school, Fattah-Raman Municipal, Akibo-Betts Municipal, Jules Roness Municipal School and the E.B. Williams Municipal Primary School.

The Artists for Peace coordinator also appealed to pupils to deviate from singing songs that have to do with sexual love but rather urged them to engage in peace massages for the universal development of Sierra Leone and the world.

In another development, Mr. Alpha Jalloh who is also a vibrant and active member of the movement warned pupils to maintain seriousness in their areas of studies, saying they must have more regard for teachers, elderly people in your communities and should  listen to your teachers and have respect for them.

Artists for Peace have already made an impact in the Provinces where they have also launched similar projects.
