Joining COVID-19 Fight C4C Aspirant Donates Masks

The 2018 Former Parliamentary aspirant under the umbrella of the Coalition 4 Change (C4C), Dr. Saidu Mansaray has donated one thousand face masks at Newton, Crossing and Makolo Checkpoints in the Western Area Rural District.

The donation was handed over to police and military officer’s in-charge of the various designated checkpoints.

Handing over the face masks, Dr. Mansaray the main purpose of the masks was not only to be used by the military and police officers, but also to be given to passengers travelling within the district without face masks.

He encouraged officers to use the masks for it intended purpose which was to assist stranded passengers without face mask to pass through thee checkpoints, noting that he toured round Constituency 107 to ease the problem of face mask among his people.

He sensitized beneficiaries to not only mask up but to also observe all hygiene practices such as regular hand washing with soap and clean water, social distancing and avoid body contact.

“If citizens and even aliens in the country continue to observe healthy behavior, COVID-19 would soon be a story of the past in Sierra Leone,” he admonished and appealed to officers to be very cautious because they are dealing with people from different backgrounds.

Receiving the masks, the Officer in Charged (OC) for Mile Six Checkpoint said he was grateful to Dr. Mansaray as he is one the former aspirants to have made such a timely donation and assured that the masks would be given to deserving travelers.

He commended Dr. Mansaray to think about them at this crucial time and to also ease pressure among officers manning the various checkpoints. Other officers expressed same sentiments.
