Protecting Customers Against COVID 19 UBA Institutes Measures

As they continue to guarantee the protection and safe existent of it customers across all their branches in Sierra Leone, the management of the United Bank of Africa has put in place more preventive measures against the Corona Virus Disease (COVID 19).

Speaking to a cross section of media practitioners during the weekend at his UBA Headquarters office on Charlotte Street, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication, Mr. Salieu Sesay said they have not only erected canopies in all their branches to limit overcrowding in the bank among customers, but they have also provided social distance materials,  sanitizers, hand gloves and postal’s to raise awareness on the effect and prevention of the killer disease.

Mr. Sesay recalled that early last month, they donated Le1.4B to the Government of Sierra Leone (GOSL) through the National Emergency Response Committee (NERC) as part of their supports in the fight against COVID 19 under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillar.

“We also sent health tips to all our customers through mobile apps on preventing COVID 19 in all UBA branches,” he stated and sensitized that UBA has internet and mobile banking.

He therefore encouraged customers to continue doing business with UBA and enjoy reputable financial transaction.

He described UBA as not only an international institution but it is also the best place for banking transaction, noting that UBA has essential products like the Master Card, Prepaid Card and Leo for customers not to be cash less.

Mr. Sesay admonished the girl child to listen to their parents and not allow unwanted pregnancies as it happened during the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) saga.

He said as a financial institution, they have connected with Africell which customers could be used to withdraw Africell money from the Bank.

He maintained that UBA is existing in 20 African countries and Europe/America.

However, Mr. Sesay commended Government role and leadership in the fight against the deadly virus.
