Alleged unlawful killer on court bail

Accused, Samuel Sesay, said to have unlawfully killed Abdul Kamara at York village was past Thursday, 13^th August, 2015, granted bail by Justice Sam Margai of Freetown High court during the special trial held by the Judiciary.

The accused was originally charged with the offence of murder, against which he defended himself in the lower court which subsequently committed the matter to the High Court

In the High Court, the original offence of murder pressed against him was reduced to manslaughter. The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), lawyer A.G.M. Bockarie is prosecuting, while Abdul Karim Kamara is defending.

According to the learned Judge, the Jurors, who were paneled by the court to seat on the murder case, advised that the offence be reduced and the court acted accordingly. The judge thanked the jurors for their usual cooperation.

The matter will come up again for hearing.
