If Sierra Leoneans will recall that on May 18 this year  members of the Sierra Leone Police Force (SLP) through an intelligence service were able to clamp down on 7 workers at the National Power Authority (NPA) at Calaba town east of the capital city of Freetown negotiating with certain dealers to sell 40,000 Litres of fuel meant for official purposes for the thermal plant at Black Hall Road in Freetown.

According to reliable sources at the Sierra Leone Police, further investigations helped them bring to light the other 5 suspects that were initially at-large and that brought the number of suspected public criminals to twelve (12).

These suspects are in police custody and that their cases are to be charged to the court of Law for further investigations and judgement.

It was known that the cases of these suspect have been delayed to be charged to curt also learning that certain higher authorities in the  country are suspected to be involved in the case and that they are influencing a non persecution of the theft case being aware of the consequences behind their exposure.

Higher authorities at the Sierra Leone police force has said that many cases that needed to be forwarded delayed and that the influence of higher authorities are in the habit of twisting the laid down policies of the Sierra Leone police force and constitutional rights in dealing with state criminals in the country.

Undoubtedly lawyers of the Sierra Leone Bar Association have started advocating for the released of these suspected State criminals and that such stance in guise of twisting the law against the people of Sierra Leone.

The people of this country demands justice and equal right. The nation suffer darkness and similar act could be seen as an absolute provocation to the incumbent government in putting modalities in place and that investors will be discourage to invest their resources in the country due to the frequent loss of electrical facilities.

President Koroma and his government are expected to act positively and clamp all public criminal for the fact that the nation is full of people with political sentiment bent on destroying the good image and plans of his government.

This media house is encouraging them to keep up a god law enforcing practice and bring to light every corrupt citizen in every sector in the country as that will help build more confidence to the people of their country and the international communities in their service delivery to the state.
