17-year old gives birth to baby with no arms

Speaking to Isha Max Kanu at her Seyenoh Junction residence at Calaba Town in Freetown, she said she was in love with a boy who ended up impregnating her. She dropped out of school as a result and was disowned by her parents.
She said her boyfriend’s parents were supportive of the pregnancy till the end but when following the delivery of the baby it came out he was born with no hands, they decided to shun her saying she has given birth to a devil.
She explained how she was advised by her friends and relatives to abandon the child at the Cottage Hospital where he was delivered, but said she insisted on taking the baby home.
“It was really not easy for me. The only thing that saved the situation was the timely intervention of my dad who took me back home out of love and encouraged me to maintain the baby”, she said, adding that “The baby is growing normally and is not giving me any problem like too much crying and frequent ailments”.
She called on government and humanitarian organizations to help her bring up the child and accord him with special facilities so as to enable him make the most of his feet.
Aaron Fisra Kanu is the second known Sierra Leonean that has been born without arms. There is a lady commonly known as Betty who in her early age made history and fame for her ability to plant, cook, eat and write with her feet.
