Ambassador Alie Issa Bangura is SLPP next national chairman, say south-easterners
Members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in both southern and eastern parts of the country which the SLPP claimed to be its political stronghold while APC claimed to be its developmental stronghold have started throwing voice of distress and forceful redemption from the Maada Bai Pa-O–Camp.
The people stated that Ambassador Alie Issa Bangura will be their SLPP National chairman succeeding Mr. John Oponjo Benjamin. Dr. Wnsu Sannoh, Ambassador Joe Blee, Dr. John Karimu and others in the south-Eastern part of the country were in Bo Kenema few days ago. The people said after listening all the good things done by Ambassador Alie Issa Bangura for the SLPP and the nation as a whole during the 1997 to 1998 over thrown of Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabba, they have decided to support Ambassador Alie Bangura.
The people pleaded to all other candidates to step down as this time round they will vote for some one who will re-unify the party not divide the SLPP. They said Chief Sumani Kapen is not a political material for SLPP since the 2018 presidential Elections need some body who will bring all SLPP human resources as well as financial support. They advised SLPP top guns to start firing to Maada Bio camp or else SLPP will never see the state house by elections.
