Islamic Council President to cough up $138,000

The President of the Supreme Islamic Council, Alhaji Thahai Jalloh is currently being squeezed to account for a whopping sum of $138,000 that is due his late elder brother’s widow and children.

Reports gathered by this press state that council’s president was obtaining monies ranging to the tune of $17,000 as house rent for the premises that his late brother Alhaji ‘Main Road’ Jalloh which is situated at 38 Fourah Bay Road, for a period between 2000 to-date.

Alhaji Jalloh is said to have been using his title as president of the Supreme Islamic Council and other political connections to frighten the desolate widow and her children and has taken monopoly over his late brother’s property.

When this press contacted the council president at his Timbo Street residence in Makeni for his reaction to the allegation, he refused to make a comment.
