Hit and Run Driver to face Court Action

A car with the registration AGL 909 is reported to have massacred the life of ten years old Isha Cole, a resident of 31 Hospital Road, Kissy Dockyard, at Jenner Wright Road Cline town, off Kissy on Saturday July 21 at around 200 hours.

According to the District Traffic Officer (DTO), Mohamed Kamara, in charge of Kissy East, the vehicle in question knocked the deceased down and ran away while the teen was on the verge of crossing the other lane on the fateful day.

The driver, Daniel Mundima Kopoi, a resident of 9 Job street, later handed himself over to the police, confirms the DTO. The driver told Sierra Express in an interview that he was coming from Calaba Town and accidentally crushed the deceased on her attempt to cross over the other lane. The matter has been charged to court.
