Child kidnapping at Mount Aureol

Controversial reports of child kidnapping have reached the Ross Road police station for investigation.

Report has it that on Monday 12th March 2012, a woman by the name of Massah Lamin of No 19 Mount Aureol Terrace in Freetown allegedly kidnapped a one day old baby in the Aureol Marines Top Clinic Center.

According to eye witness reports, Mamie Idriss the younger sister of Massah Lamin gave birth to a baby boy on the 1st February for her husband Abdulai a petty trader at Seville Street central of the capital Freetown.

Sources are that Massah Lamin whose husband is an international businessman had left the capital for business since November 2011.

According to Mamie Idriss, Massah usually informed her husband via telephone conversation that she is currently carrying a two months pregnancy for her husband adding that she will like her husband to stay in America till she is put to bed.

During the time of her labour to bring forth the baby, Maime said she was injected by one staff nurse by the name of Aunt Amie, who is currently on the run, which resulted to in a coma for thirty six hours.

When she came to her senses, she was told by her elder sister Massah Lamin that she gave birth to a baby boy whom she lost, which was also confirmed by the state registered nurse Aunt Amie, said Mamie Idriss.

On the 10th March, Mamie continued, she was at her house at 122 Eastern Street when a friend by the name of Kankany inquired the reason why she was not spotted at the naming ceremony of her elder sister Massah Lamin’s son.

This news prompted her to visit the health center where she give birth to asked them for her child when a nurse working at the Mount Auorel health center, who preferred animosity, told her that her son was never dead but was taken by her elder sister.

The said nurse is said to be on the run also.

Mamie Idriss went to the house of her elder sister to see firsthand and she saw the baby with her sister, hence the reason for her report at the Ross Road Police Station.

Ross Police is currently investigating the said matter.
