Tengbeh Town Residents endorse Hon. Chernor Bah for 2012

Residents of Tengbeh Town and its surroundings over the weekend engaged their parliamentary representative’s, cabinet ministers and councilors on development projects that will transform the community and improve the living standard of the constituents.

The development oriented Honorable Chernor Bah commonly known as Chericoco was greeted by a mammoth crowed comprising mainly of youths, market women and community elders.

Residents commended Hon. Chernor Bah for his valuable contributions towards community development projects particularly in the rehabilitations of roads and construction of bridges linking communities.

They said Hon. Bah has pioneered several development projects in the constituency like the provision of scholarships to underprivileged students, food for work for youths and other livelihood initiatives.

The Women’s leader Aminata Jamboria highlighted the some of the problems faced by Tengbeh Town residents which include poor road networks, lack of health center, community market and a community center for recreational activities.

Councillor Christiana Conteh and Haroun G Kamara expressed their commitment and determination to work for the development of the community; they commended Hon. Bah for his continued support towards development.

They also pointed out progress being made in the acquisitions of state land for the construction of basic amenities in the community which he caused delays for the implementation of projects.

Addressing stakeholders at the meeting Hon. Chernor Bah pointed out that they are working very hard for the development of the Tengbeh Town Community by supporting community driven projects that transform the livelihood of the people.

He said “I have spent monies to support youth’s programs, scholarships, construction of bridges and rehabilitation of roads within the community and also the beautification of the constituency.”

He assured residents of his commitment and determination to support the development of the community.

Minister of Lands and Environment Alie Pat Sowe expressed willingness to allocate state land for the construction of community center, market and health center as documents are currently being processed.

The Minister of Local Government Sulaiman Kamara and the deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources promised to support the development of Tengbeh Town and its surroundings which they said is part of government’s agenda for change.

The meeting was climaxed by singing drumming and dancing.
