Mothers Helping Mothers conclude 3 Day seminar
Mothers Helping Mothers-Germany-Sierra Leone- in collaboration with Love One Another Campaign Sierra Leone concluded a three day seminar on business plans and ethics.
The seminar which attracted some 40 beneficiaries was held at the headquarter office of Love One Another Campaign at Bass Street in Brookfield Freetown.
Giving an overview of the programme, Rev. Mrs. Valrie Bell said ‘Mothers helping Mothers’ is an organization based in Germany and has been rendering financial help to people, chiefly a loan.
That monies loaned are mostly unfortunately not paid back at all. “The Love One Another Campaign however came in contact with this group in Germany and has therefore asked them to deliver help to Sierra Leone,” Rev. Mrs Bell said.
She further said that through investigations they’ve been able to investigate issues relating to business in the country.
That as philanthropists from Germany who have Sierra Leone at heart they intend to provide help for women countrywide.
“Now that the grandaunts have concluded the training on business proposals and ethic, it is sure when money is given them they will use same judiciously,” Rev. Mrs. Bell said.
“They’ve been taught how to embark on the payment of taxes, rates and savings for emergencies without interfering with the capital amount realized.”
She promised that some capital will be given to them, which should not be refunded without interest within six (6) months.
The founder and Director of Love One Another Campaign Sierra Leone, Dr. Christian Tele Bell, encouraged the grandaunts to make good use of the knowledge gained in their different communities.
He called on them to be steadfast in prayers and love one another as God loves all.
He later noted that it is only through prayers and hard work one can succeed in life.
He thanked the organizers and congratulated the German group for their support to Sierra Leoneans.
Adding that, “the three components; capital, grant and loan, must always be their focus point in business.”
He said that the organization operates in Freetown and in the provinces. He further said that he intends to establish same in York and Tombo not long from now.
One of the grandaunts, Esther Princess Mansaray, in her exaltation message taken from proverbs 14:1, encouraged her colleagues to be sober minded so that other women folks will emulate their good examples as they contribute to national development.
There are 47 beneficiaries received certificates after the seminar.
