Bio may flee for his life!
News of the likelihood of the APC Government bringing the likes of SLPP party flag bearer aspirant Julius Maada Bio and others to book for the unjust trial and killing of Bambay Kamara, Sally Kuppa and others during the ungodly rule of the NPRC has according reports reaching this press devastated the young politician who now seems hell bent to flee for his life knowing the level of mischief the APC is capable of, party men have told Sierra Express Media.Â
Maada Bio who now seems to be edging others in the race for SLPP 2011 general party convention is said to have been stroked by the prospect of going under trial for crimes that according to party officials he did not directly commit and that he was by then a nobody in the then NPRC government and was also out of the country when the trial and execution of the men took place.
He is however quoted as saying that “it is unfortunate that Ibrahim Ben Kargbo is making this statement for he was very much part of the NPRC as me, so we both may be heading for the trial if that is what the nefarious and dubious heads in the APC are contemplating†a constituency chairman in the Western Area quoted Bio as saying.Â
Ibriahim Ben Kargbo in making this statement said last week that his government was under pressure from human right agencies/activists and family members for the APC government to ensure that the trial of the said people is re-examined as allegations are that the trial did not follow the course of the law. Although the APC spokesperson could bring himself to accepting that this action could result into witch hunting, it has however been classed as an APC ploy to send the former army-boy running as party members say “Bio is the only man capable of sending shock waves into the spines of the APC top-echelon†and could thus be plotting to have him out of the way. The execution of Bambay Kamara and others was carried out in June 1992 after the NPRC took over governance from the then APC government; a government that was later ruled by Julius Maada Bio in a celebrated palace coup.
Top party SLPP men at Wallace Johnson Street have however dismissed the I.B. Kargbo scuffle as “arrant nonsense†describing it as “no less than the usual ’99 tactics’ of political intimidation that characterizes all APC rule ever since its foundation as a party. â€Â

Mr. Richard Bockarie, We all know that the guilty always play the run away game very unhappy because they have done something wrong in life. Why do you have to solicit Maada Bio as an already victim from the 99 tactics of A.P.C.? Is he the only N.P.R.C. member alive or the only one that was with a machine gun in Sierra leone during the 1992 coup? You mentioned I.B.Kargbo as part of them, Well that makes this exercise very intresting and genuine, Name every A.P.C. member that was part of the killing teams against their fellow men for power. This exercise is not a trial for the killers but lets assume Mr. Bambay Kamara, Salamie Coker and others were your relatives, Wll you be happy or angry when a call like this is pronouced to the nation Why were these people executed in cold blood?. let us be fair to ourselves You cant live forever on earth. Injustice and terror was brutally soldier on our late fellow country men. There are unanswered questions. It could be you, so let’s talk about forgiveness and forge ahead for a lasting peace. Keep cool. Your candidate will not be castricated. The present Government is not here to revenge but to make peace, progress and unity.
