South African Investors Storm Salone … Infrastructure to be Overhauled

The infrastructural chaos of the country it appears has finally been rescued as news meeting Sierra Express Media confirms that big time investors from South Africa implementing NEPAD related development programmes have landed on the shores of Sierra Leone, expressing great interest in investing in and overhauling the country’s shabby infrastructure. This development followed president Koroma’s recent visit to South Africa where resident Sierra Leoneans and the South African government have now offered to variously invest in the country.  (Photo: [ l] Thokoane Tsolo head of the Africa Unit of the IDC, and [r] Dr. Salie Mahoi CEO of Imhotep Properties)

The investors from the Africa economic giant – South Africa mainly from the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) of South Africa  would be looking at various areas of development with premium to infrastructure, low-cost housing, water and land development, agriculture and other  similar areas of potential and need.  In a letter written to the government of Sierra Leone, head of the visiting team from South Africa, Mr. Thokoane Tsolo, revealed that “our objective while in Sierra Leone would be to try and identify potential investment opportunities in line with development objectives with Sierra Leone”.
