Syke Rangers Football Foundation Donates Assorted Equipment’s to 54 Boys
Syke Rangers Football Foundation has donated new assorted Football materials to 54 boys.
The donation took place at the National Stadium on Saturday, 12th October, 2019.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ernest Tommy Musa discussed that the Foundation was born in 2017 to help integrated vulnerable children who have dropped out of school at early age with the motto ‘’Football for Education’’.
He emphasized that all members of the Foundation must be school going pupils and spoke about the five boys they have returned to school and now performing explicitly adding that they also take care of their education, medical, food and everything to make them feel that there are people at the corner who always thinking about them.
He vehemently stated that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) aware about their activities but they never demonstrate interest and further deliberated that they invited them officially before the distribution of the gifts to beneficiaries but they never showed up.
They CEO said, the continuous neglect and absence of SLFA to attend their programs does not augur well with them for the fact that he said, their presence would have served as motivation to the kids.
Mr. Musa said he is currently funding all activities of the Foundation with the input of his wife without any external aid to run the foundation effectively and mentioned that whenever a player developed an injury, he is taking to Connaught Hospital for effective treatment.
He said encouraged parents to urged their children to spend more time in their studies than in extra curriculum activities being that, he said, after Football education would also help them to continue excelling in society without any hindrances.
He called on Government through the Ministry of Sports to come out and render their helping hands because he said, he has been in the game to help improve lives of many kids for over 25 years now as a result of the passion they have for the total development of the children. He talked about his plan to sustain the Foundation for life adding that he will extend the Foundation in Bo City and other parts of the country by the next three years.
