Dr. Hallowell Appointed Principal at the Canadian College of Modern Technology
Canadian College of Modern Technology announces the appointment of Dr. Elvis Gbanabom Hallowell, former Director of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation as its new Principal at its campus in Mile 91. Dr. Hallowell holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Interdisciplinary Studies (with a concentration in Ethical and Creative Leadership) from the Union Institute of University, Ohio. He also completed an intensive program in “Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century in Executive Education” from Harvard University in March 2009.
Dr. Hallowell is an educator, a broadcaster, an author who has published sixteen books, and a public speaker that has won both national and international accolades. He is known throughout the world for his eloquence as a public speaker, and creativity as a writer. His warm personality, superb intelligent and innovative thinking is one that Canadian College of Technology needs at it strives to become a full-fledged university that is unique to Sierra Leone. At CCMT, we provide a serene environment where lecturers, administrators, and students work together in unison, and for Dr. Hallowell, who hails from this chiefdom, coming back home will not only allow him to contribute to the overall development of this college but to also give back his services to this community. Moreover, as the college will soon open a radio and television station to help strengthen its communications department, the expertise of Dr. Hallowell in this field will be an added asset to facilitate these programs.
