Ward 124 Councillor Accused of Invading FCC Land in Sierra Leone
Reports reaching this medium revealed that one of the Councilors under the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) ticket is reported to have connived with an illegal organization known as the United Youths Organization (UYO) to take over a land belonging to the Freetown City Council and have been under the use of a group of potential traders for many years within the Regent Road Lorry Park. According to investigation, UYO is in secret meeting with the APC Councilor, Madina for Ward 124 because, they said, the traders have stopped paying dues through UYO members and preferred to work directly with the Freetown City Council under the supervision of the Mayor, Her Worship Yvonne Aki Sawyer.
It was also alleged that Councilor Madina is in negotiation with UYO to occupy a portion of the said land for personal reasons. According to findings, the land in question has been under the control of UYO since 1991 but no positive development taken place in it.
