Conflict Of Interest Resident Minister North-West Implicated In House Dispute

The Resident Minister North-west region, Isata Kamara, is allegedly using her office to unduly disadvantaged one Madam Aminata Kamara of 14 Coker Lane, Central of Freetown over a land dispute between her and the minister’s mother.

According to Madam Aminata Kamara, the minister’s mother, Fatmata Kamara, was a friend whom she rescued when she was having difficulties with her husband and lodged her in her house because of the friendship they shared. She furthered that madam Fatmata and herself has been staying together in her house all these years until when her (Fatmata) daughter, Isata Kamara, became minister under the New Direction and connived with her mother to claim her house using her office.

Since then, Madam Aminata stated, the minister has been coming around her house raining all sorts of insults and threats on her and on another occasion, orders her security to shoot one of her sheep where they had a bitter argument.

‘’This is a complete disadvantage to me’’ Madam Aminata cries adding that she is been subjected to such injustice because she does not have political position. She therefore calls on the authorities concerned to come to her rescue before things get out of hands.

One eye witness, Sanusi King, told this reporter that the Minister behaved rudely on that day noting he was he was not expecting a Minister who should be role model in society to behave in such inhuman manner.

When contacted on the issue, Madam Isata Kamara, Resident Minister North-west refused to react on the allegations but disclosed that she has brought the matter to court for a decision on the impasse.
