All the clandestine traders require is the client’s phone number. They don’t take the address of the debtor and take request for any identity cards.
It is feared that the dubious men could be Somali jihadists looking for soft targets in Sierra Leone because of the country’s previous role in peacekeeping operations.
All landlords harboring foreigners should declare the presence of such persons to the police for proper scrutiny.
