SLPP Proves Incompetent To Rule Citizens Say
Citizens across the length and breadth of the country have slammed the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) government of President Julius Maada Bio calling it an incompetent government as a result of the persistent blame heaping on the past All Peoples Congress (APC) administration led by Ernest Bai Koroma for the inevitable hardship, hunger and abject poverty hitting the poor nation.
Speaking to a cross section of disgruntled business people in the Freetown municipality and beyond, they expressed disappointment in President Bio’s Government for the unending charge against the main opposition instead of concentrating on issues of development.
The disappointed citizens frowned at what they described as childish accusation against opposition actors who are perceived to be key players in the former President Koroma’s administration.
According to the displeased citizens, Sierra Leone needed a unifier than ever because according to them, they were expecting the Government of President Bio to have brought about unification but what they are experiencing is against the Rule of law for the fact that basic human rights have been violated on several occasions.
One of the famous musicians in Sierra Leone, Emerson Bockarrie was criticizing the past Government of centralizing all development to road and energy when there are other Ministries Department and Agencies responsible for other sectors of development. The past Government according to irate citizens, President Koroma prioritized the Free Health Care (FHC) to enhance the super well being of all citizens especially targeted beneficiaries (Pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under-fives) adding, they are worried that the Government paid less attention to other sectors of development and laid premium on education.
Sierra Leoneans are therefore calling on the current supervision of Julius Maada Bio to behave like President Koroma’s era when development is not limited in one area for total unity, peace and freedom.
