Children In Crisis Launched

A Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as Children in Crisis headquartered in the Waterloo municipality was launched on Saturday 28th July, 2018 at 2:00 pm prompt. That well attended ceremony hosted prominent personalities from different walks of life.

After the Agenda was announced, with special references to the Orphans with the motto- One Team One Fight, the unassuming CEO, Mr. Marke Moijue started the ball rolling when that occasion was called to order by dilating on the urgent need to restore lost hopes in the orphans that are severely suffering from financial assistance.

He said “Thinking out of the box is imploring on creativity and empowering the vulnerable children by providing quality education for them with the aim of national development and serving Mankind. Children should be seen as future leaders and not tools to be wrongly used. Creating a Humanitarian organization with the prime motive to help the needy children at their early teens has always been my utmost goal in life. There are a lot of destitute in the street that are children who are in dire need of educational supports. Counselling children goes a long way to inculcate good leadership attributes in children to better serve the nation. Sponsors of the program will be inspired to see the practical demonstration of the children, thus actualizing the organization’s Aim and Objectives.

To make that event an interactive session, children with high retentive memories displayed their knowledge acquired so far on Numeracy, Poetry and Reading. The subtle CEO Moijueh asserted by affirming that depriving the actual beneficiaries at the detriment of empowering those who could afford is completely wrong and he will never be part such cruel practice. Furthermore, he stressed on the need for proper monitoring regarding their daily operations in fulfillment of the expected guardians of those orphans.

In responding to the CEO’s touching statements, a Representative from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children Affairs (MSWGCA), Madam Bangura appreciated the program for the children but raised a concern for more women participation in the organization. She emphasized that it’s high time they take the lead to create the necessary impacts in this nation. She opined how she wished to have a female president in this country. She informed the audience that their role as a Ministry is to implement the laid down policies as the issues of rape and sexual penetration are on the increase, who in turn advised CEO Marke to incorporate the community in supporting their children as the taking the children away from their parents or Guardians is not in place at all.

Moreover, when the sponsor of the organization, Mr. Micky who is based in the UK was asked what really inspired him to finance such an organization? In no time he responded by saying his interaction with the CEO backed with his findings and seeking the interest of the children greatly inspired him. Mr. Marke carefully responded to the question of continuity posed by asserting that his organization is registered and above all he has love and passion for the selfless services he is providing to the children taking his religious background into cognizance. That significant launching ceremony ended with prayers as it was started after food and drinks were served, media coverage done, donations and pledges made and presented.
