SLPP’s clandestine plans at SALPOST exposed

The attention of the general public is highly needed by the marginalized staff of the Sierra Leone Postal Services Ltd (SALPOST).

It is a crystal fact that after the former Consultant Managing Director (MD), Mr. Samuel  J. Koroma was wrongfully sacked as a result of political affiliation, the current Acting Managing Director is facing psychological torture as the PAOPA maladministration are putting cruel mechanisms in place to replace him with their party fanatic, Mr. Mohamed I. Kanneh.

According to closed and reliable sources, Mr. Kanneh  who had sued SALPOST to court for his end of service benefits after he had resigned by choice refusing to have worked with the dismissed MD on the grounds of his political sentiments.

That clumsy incident took place when the aforementioned institution was in a severe financial crisis, though Kanneh was very much inconsiderate pushing his selfish interest above that of the institution.  Furthermore, we were duly informed that he resigned on the motion of not working with the then MD that was technically sent on leave for easy elimination. What is really bothering most concerned citizens at the moment is the fact that the New Direction is fervently working on clandestine plans to catapult Kanneh to an MD status when he left with high level of hostility especially when that instrumental institution needed him most.

When cross sections of staff were interviewed, they disclosed that their former Managing Director, Mr. Samuel Koroma is such an approaching and a moderate character that firmly believes in the tenets of hard work but was harshly dismissed. Conclusively, they are worried not knowing exactly what the future holds.

In treaty with the above highlighted issue, prompt Administrative redress is required subject to putting a hold on such a bad practice. This is not good precedent for our democracy.
