“I Will Be A Grassroot President’’ assures Dr. Samura

Presidential Aspirant for the incumbent All People’s Congress (APC) Party, Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara had told listeners and viewers on the country’s national broadcaster, the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation Television (SLBC) that he will be a grassroots president if emerges victorious in the March 7th, 2018 pools. He made this statement during a special edition of the podium with presenter and journalist Asmiru Bah on Wednesday 10th January, 2018.

He recalled that after he had be chosen by the party for the upcoming presidential elections he was aware that the challenges ahead are numerous when he saw youths, women and children dancing after he was pronounced as the official presidential candidate for the governing All Peoples Congress Party (APC).

Dr. Samura Kamara disclosed that the construction of a party office at Kamalo he does, was a fulfillment of a promise he made to his late father and not that he was eyeing the   APC presidential candidacy.

He reiterated that he had never came up for the presidential race but however added that he was privileged, humbled and grateful for the party to have given him the opportunity to represent his party in the 2018 presidential race.

Dr. S. Kamara added that he will continue the base line of President Koroma’s achievements to secure them and scaling up with new ideas owing to the fact that an agenda is just an outline of intentions.

The APC presidential candidate criticized those citizens that were identifying the odds or such coming of the government but deliberately kept seal lips.

He pointed out that if he emerges as winner in the pools, he will target the ring road connectivity across all chiefdoms, district and Headquarters towns and lead the country to a middle income by 2030 and balance the provision of jobs and diversification of national resources.

Since the nation is a youthful population with 65 percent below age 35, he will introduce a youth manifesto institutional instrument that will target job after qualification, enterprises for youths to enable them become job generators and not job seekers.
