We Yone Child Foundation extorts kids!

A purported child protection organization, We Yone Child Foundation (WYCF) was forcing little kids who supposed to be treated with kindness to pay Le 2,000 to watch Sarafina movie on African Child’s Day.

Sierra Express Media has considered such action as illegal and inhuman against innocent children because it never occurred during the era of the former Head of Schools in WYCF, Elizabeth Briwa, who was loved by children for demonstrating accountability, transparency and uprightness.

Now that Elizabeth Briwa has been replaced by a male Head of Schools, Amara Shangay, we have started seeing and hearing children grumbling that they are not getting what they supposed to benefit under this regime.

The little children at the vulnerable Kroo Bay community were asking as if the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WYCF, Santigie Bayoh Dumbuya aware of such ill motivated and unpatriotic attitude exhibited by staff of the so-called humanitarian organization.

During the last African Child’s Day commemoration, Ada Yang of Quinack Foundation donated biscuits, sweets, pen, books and other learning materials to WYCF to share among children but in the end, facilitators went away with high quantity of donated materials while leaving other children without single learning material.

Contacting the CEO, Santigie Bayoh Dumbuya as to whether he was aware that his guys were forcing children to pay before they watch the South African famous Sarafina movie which never happened in Elizabeth time, he expressed shock as to  why am telling him now after four months and  asked me to call names with evidence. “I need a quick answer to those questions so I will inform my Lawyer to either terminate their contract or otherwise”, that was the exact text message he sent.

We have witnessed in this country where, many mushroom organizations are using the name of protecting our children but in the end fight to enrich themselves and family members only at the detriment of the supposed beneficiaries.
